Bright light & positive energy is the intention brought into my art .  Inspiration comes from my surroundings, thoughts, a memory or a photograph. Creating each piece is a creative process that is therapeutic and deeply healing.

Beginning with an idea roughly sketched onto paper and then transferred onto textured, cotton watercolour paper, birch panels or stretched cotton/linen canvas. I mix materials in interesting colour palettes in combining highly pigmented watercolour & acrylic paints with added pigments, ink, pen & pencil details.

 

Paint is loosely swept onto the blank canvas creating the initial shape, position, perspective and scale. Fuller brushstrokes then encompasses the form building layers of additional paint bringing out the depth blending hues. Meticulous detail completes the uniquely made art piece. My art can be abstract in nature, some more illustrative. The process of creating each piece, truly unique.
